Horrible service! You have to call 5 times to get them to answer. For my sister in laws wedding she chose a dress and had all of our measurements in by the date needed to order by. 2 weeks went by and she called them. The dress was discontinued so we had to choose another dress. The order came about 20 days before the wedding. Not alot of time to get altered unless you get it done there. Once received the dress was a size bigger than ordered. They just changed it on their own without consulting the bridesmaid. And they did this for another one as well. Horrible customer service!
I found this store from the sioux city journal bridal fair. They had the dress I chose for $900 less than the store in Lincoln where I had found it. During my scheduled appointment which I had traveled from sioux city to, I was never asked if I would like help, had to find my own dress on the rack, and had no assistance in picking out the veil, and given items in the wrong color when I finally demanded help. You would think a bridal shop salesperson would know that a white veil does not match an ivory dress. I wear a bridal size two, which no one manufactures. Because I opted to have a personal tailor alter my dress, Madonna suggested I order a size ten! I understand being very careful to not order a dress too small, but you should be knowledgeable about company sizes and know what should fit a bride based on her measurements. I chose to order the smallest size, a four, and it was enormous. The alterations are pretty extensive and I couldn't imagine having to alter a ten down to a two. Madonna claims she can do alterations while you have lunch and I have no idea how that would ever be possible. I wouldn't trust her with that service and would expect shoddy work. Since I live far from Norfolk, I chose to have the bridesmaids dresses shipped in one box to me. They tried to charge me $20 per dress to have them shipped! In the same box! I complained and said that it does not cost $60 dollars to ship one box and after the reconsidered the price, they charged me $20 for shipping. That is the only reason I gave it two stars. In retrospect, I would not have shopped here, it was not worth the headache and couldn't imagine how bad it would have been if I didn't know which specific dress I wanted. I did witness another bride crying because they were of no help to her and she didn't even know where to look. Picking out your wedding dress should not be that way.
When we went back to ask for our refund for the straps they argued that it would have been extra to have them sewn into the seam of the dresses (this was NEVER explained to us during the altering process). And that the job that they did was acceptable.
I ended up ordering my bridal dress else where, but from the moment I walked in the shop Maddona herself greeted me and was very nice. Whom ever her assistant was at the time, was also extremely patient with me and kind. I didn't find what I was looking for but they do have a nice selection of dresses and brands that are trendy.
I ordered and picked up my bridesmaid dress for my sister in laws wedding and they were fantastic for both times i was in there! They helped me try a few dresses and order it, everything. While i was picking up my dress i decided to look for wedding dress as i am getting married in October. The gal helped me try on a couple dresses even without an appointment! She even stayed after hours to help me! I found a beautiful dress for a great price! I will be going back tomorrow with my family so they can help me make the final pick! Every time i have gone in they have been fantastic! The best part is my mom also got her wedding dress here too many 30+ years ago.
Ordered 6 Bridesmaid dresses from Madonna's and needed straps put on all 6.
We did Not get what we paid for. I advise anyone who wants to tempt fate and order from here, Make sure you are getting what you payed for!
The girls paid extra for this. (I believe it was around $10-15 per dress)
Seriously who just puts a couple stitches through the straps (about 1/8 to 1/4 inch down from the seam) and calls it good!? UNPROFESSIONAL!
Due to out of towners and some really close deadlines we were cutting it close and the day of the wedding we were frantically reinforcing the Poorly tacked on straps for fear of them Popping off and because the dresses sagged away from the stitching that Madonna's had put in.
